PPPGA Professional Groomer Certification
PPPGA aims to establish a structured certification framework to assess the knowledge, practical skills, animal welfare awareness, and professional conduct of pet groomers in Pakistan.
Certification Levels
Level 1 — Foundation Groomer
For candidates who demonstrate foundational knowledge of grooming tools, hygiene, coat care, and safe animal handling.
Level 2 — Professional Groomer
For groomers who demonstrate practical competency in bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, coat maintenance, and customer consultation.
Level 3 — Advanced Groomer
For experienced groomers who demonstrate advanced styling, complex coat management, safety assessment, and professional quality control.
Specialization — Professional Cat Groomer
For candidates who complete feline-specific training and demonstrate safe, low-stress cat handling and grooming competencies.
Certification Requirements
Applicants may be required to:
- Complete the relevant training or demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Pass a theoretical examination.
- Complete a practical grooming assessment.
- Demonstrate animal welfare and safety competency.
- Agree to PPPGA’s professional code of conduct.
Examination and Assessment
The proposed assessment system will include online examinations, practical demonstrations, and competency-based evaluation.
Examination pass marks, retake rules, practical assessment criteria, and certificate validity periods will be established in the official PPPGA certification regulations before examinations open.
Certificate Verification
PPPGA intends to establish an online certificate verification register.
Each issued certificate will have a unique identification number, candidate name, qualification level, issue date, and verification status.
Employers and customers will be able to verify certificates through the official PPPGA website once the verification system is operational.
Apply for Certification
Candidates will be able to apply for the appropriate certification level after the official application and assessment system launches.
